About Me

Hey there! I’m Valerie and the writer behind Cesari (pronounced chez-a-ree) Party of Four. Once upon a time (pre-kids) I wrote a blog and I loved it, but like most things it phased out with that season of life. Two kids, a new house, a new job and wife to a football coach didn’t leave me with much time to write. I feel the urge to write again, whether it’s about motherhood or life in general.

First, I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart, a high school teacher and coach. We’ve been blessed with two amazing children – Alexis, our beautiful, sassy little girl and our handsome, all-boy son, Chace. By day, I’m a marketer and after hours, I’m a mama and wife to my crazy awesome family.

In December of 2014 I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. What’s that you ask? It’s an autoimmune disease where my body views wheat and gluten as a toxin and attacks my GI system. The only cure is to go completely gluten free! It was a long road getting to my diagnosis and it has been a pretty life-altering change, but I’m very positive about it and am ALWAYS trying out new recipes and figuring out ways to bring back old favorites. I figure if I’m going to get a disease, I’d rather get one where the treatment is a healthy diet.

I also run an Etsy business, Southern Petite Paperie, where I put my love of graphic design to use. I design anything from birthday invites and baby sprinkles to weddings. You name it and I can probably do it. Looking for something? Stop by and have a look.

So that’s a bit about me and a snapshot into what you might find on this blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
